A bird house made by Dan Belbeck was a raffle prize that earned money for the irrigation system.

Donations from sales of the Rockglen History Book and bird house as well as a grant from Prairie Coal gave us the funds to install an irrigation drip system. It is in place and working well. The trees are looking great!

The new system not only saves volunteers time, the orchard also uses less water.

Kudos to  Harvey Kessler, Marilyn and Terry Remoue, and Allen Spies for installing the system. Thank you to everyone who made a donation or bought a raffle ticket. We can scratch another wish off our list. 🙂
